In Spain, being in prison <strong data-start=\"1220\" data-end=\"1307\">does not prevent participation in extrajudicial mediation or conciliation processes<\/strong>, provided that legal requirements are met and the procedure is adapted to the conditions of incarceration. It is important to emphasize that <strong data-start=\"1452\" data-end=\"1519\">these processes are not related to the reason for incarceration<\/strong>.\u00a0They often involve conflicts of a:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1730\">\n<li data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1647\">\n<p data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1647\"><strong data-start=\"1560\" data-end=\"1577\">Family nature<\/strong>, such as child custody, support payments, or personal relationships<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"1730\">\n<p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1730\"><strong data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1682\">Property or financial nature<\/strong>, such as inheritance, co-owned assets, or debts<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1732\" data-end=\"1762\">The Key Role of the Lawyer<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1764\" data-end=\"1920\">A person in prison <strong data-start=\"1783\" data-end=\"1864\">cannot directly contact a mediation service nor be contacted from the outside<\/strong>.
